Arena Stage Responds
I got a response to the previous posting about Ella from Chad Bauman, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Arena Stage that included:
I am sorry that you had problems finding our new space, however tonight is the official opening night, and a great many of the more than 100 directional signs that have been installed by Arena Stage, Vornado, the Crystal City Business Improvement District, the Virginia Department of Transportation, and Arlington County were not in place when you attended your preview performance. I wanted to reassure you that all the signs are now in place.
I also wanted to take a moment to let you know that ELLA has been registered as a non-resident production with Helen Hayes.
I sincerely hope that people attending Arena in Exile have more luck than I did in finding the space. And I am very happy that Ella is registered as a non-resident production.

Way to go, Michael. It sounds as if you helped nudge them into making it easier for people to find the space. And maybe folks’ll hear “s’wonderful” and not “it’s wonderful” tonight!
